Facilities Manager

Job Purpose 

To manage and oversee all building and facility operations, making sure they are safe, well-maintained, and cost-effective. The role includes planning, budgeting, and checking work quality, while also keeping good relationships with clients and following set procedures and guidelines. The goal is to create a safe, problem-free workspace for employees and ensure all facilities run smoothly. 

Minimum Requirements 

  • A Degree in Facilities Management.
  • A minimum of 4 years' proven experience as a facilities manager.
  • Thorough understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling.
  • Well-versed in technical(engineering) operations and facilities management best practices.
  • Ability to formulate and manage budgets.
  • Ability to analyse and solve practical problems and deal with variety of concrete variables.
  • Leadership, people management and interpersonal skills are key.

Key Competencies

  • High attention to detail in inspections, project oversight, and vendor performance. 
  • Ability to manage building emergencies and operational risks.
  • Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and build strong relationships.
  • Effective in budget planning, execution, and cost control.
  • Familiarity with facilities management software or tools is an advantage.
