MAIN PURPOSE: 

To manage a team of MIS Analysts to ensure production of timeous and accurate data and reports

Education & Experience 

Minimum Education Diploma/Degree in Finance/Informatics 

Minimum Experience 2 years working as a manager of people 

3 years working as a Developer in an MIS environment 

Technical knowledge and expose to Advanced Excel 

Advanced SQL scripting skills

Key Result Areas 


Operations Management: Develop new reports to service business needs 

Analyse the business requirement 

Design the report based on business specification 

Design extract 

Presentation 

Test the output for accuracy and fit to the spec 

Deliver / distribute/ publish the output to the business 


Operations Management: Maintain the standard scheduled reports 

Investigate reasons for non - delivery of standard scheduled reports 

Implement corrective action where necessary 

Ensure reports remain accurate and updated 


Ope rations Management: Delivery of Ad hoc reports and analysis 

Analyse the business requirement 

Design the report based on business requirement 

Design extract 

Presentation 

Test the output for accuracy and fit to the requirement 

Deliver / distribute/ publish t he output to the business 


People Management 

Attract and recruit resources to manage and achieve function delivery 

Facilitate induction of new staff within one month of joining the organisation 

Manage and develop subordinates: 

Performance management 

Train ing and development 

Employee Relations 

Manage people efficiencies through leave management, headcount budget, fixed term contracts, staff movements, secondments, staff utilisation 

Take appropriate disciplinary measures for any misconduct by subordinates 

Relationship Management 

Provide information on current strategies to internal stakeholders 

Resolve escalated complaints from various stakeholders (both internal and external)
