Superintendent Undercutting (2 year Fixed Term Contract)

Objective:

The Superintendent role on the Horizontal and Undercutting & Drawbells development project required to maintain an outstanding safety performance and culture, high development rates standards as well as maintaining sound relationships with stakeholders to the project.

Minimum Requirements:

• B Eng/BSc Mining Engineering or B-Tech Mining Engineering
• Mine Managers’ Certificate 
• Experience in mining at a Supervisory or Superintendent/Mine Overseer role in trackless underground development
• Registration with professional body (advantageous)
• Project Management & Execution experience
• Computer literacy in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite.

Duties:

• Monitor and oversee the Alliance team to ensure conformance to project targets and legal requirements
• Manage a safe and healthy environment where employees can deliver their outputs within a controlled risk environment
• Liaise with relevant stakeholders to provide support and input for production targets achievement
• Manage package/section expenditure within approved budget to ensure effective cost control and savings
• Facilitate and participate in safety audits, inspections and observations, and address issues as part of demonstrating safety leadership
•  Development and implementation of standards and procedures 
• Broad use of computer literacy including SAP and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to act in manager’s absence
