Temp Supply Chain Management Administrator

Purpose:

To support the SCM department in ensuring that the core duties are handled with speed and ensure that compliance is followed to the tee. This is a 12 months contract based in KZN Pietermaritzburg.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Facilitate the acquisition of goods and services. • Provide administration support.
  • Assist to facilitate the administration of bidding process.
  • Render secretarial support service to the bid committees
  • Knowledge: basic accounting systems, PERSAL, MTEF, budget process, Central Supplier Database, eTender Portal, PFMA, treasury regulations, supply chain management, internal controls procedures, advanced MS office applications.
  • Skills: good verbal communication, strong organizational and problem-solving skills, and computer literacy
  • Communication: internally, responsibility managers and officials
  • Physical demands/hazardous conditions: work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Use a computer for prolonged periods.

Required Skills

  • Microsoft Office: 3 to 4 years

  • Pmfa: 2 to 3 years

Candidate Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Diploma / Degree in SCM/Commerce 
  • Minimum relevant experience: 14 months experience in the relevant field
  • Knowledge of PFMA & PPPFA
  • Values/attributes: confidentiality, fairness, respect, and honesty
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other SCM systems.
