Quality Control & Assurance Officer


Job Purpose

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Assurance Officer to assist the SHEQ Manager in implementing and maintaining quality assurance systems. The successful candidate will ensure processes comply with regulatory requirements, support continuous improvement projects, coordinate audits, and maintain accurate quality documentation to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.

Minimum Requirements

  • Diploma in Quality Assurance (SAQA)
  • ISO 9001:2015 Quality Assurance System (SAATCA) certification
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in quality assurance, management systems, data analysis, and administrative support
  • Experience with quality standards, quality systems, and regulations in the electrical manufacturing industry is an advantage
  • Experience in combined SHEQ systems is beneficial
  • Competent in MS Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneDrive

Key Performance Areas

  • Assist the SHEQ Manager in implementing quality assurance policies and procedures
  • Maintain and update quality registers, including deviations, Change Control, and assessments
  • Collaborate with Quality Control (QC), production, and design teams to address quality issues, review floor documents, and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Support investigations of quality-related complaints and non-conformance (NCR) reports, assisting in the development of solutions
  • Organize and prepare training sessions for staff on quality assurance practices and standards
  • Monitor and report on key quality metrics and performance indicators
  • Participate in internal and external quality audits, including certification bodies
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects and initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the SHEQ Manager
