Millwright

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Millwright to ensure optimal machine uptime through effective maintenance, fault-finding, and repair of equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for breakdown response, preventative maintenance, and electrical and mechanical work to support smooth production operations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Millwright Trade Qualification (essential)

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Technical Skills:

  • Strong hydraulics knowledge (intensive)
  • PLC skills: reading drawings, basic programming, and connecting systems
  • Solid electrical background
  • Basic machining skills

Experience:

  • 2 to 5 years relevant working experience as a Millwright

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure maximum machine uptime
  • Attend to machine breakdowns and carry out repairs
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment
  • Connect motors and related components
  • Test motors to ensure proper functionality and safety
