Client Liaison Officer

Job Purpose

Our client in the medical scheme industry is seeking to appoint a Client Liaison Officer to join their Client Liaison Division based in the North West. The successful candidate will report directly to the Team Leader and will be responsible for providing frontline member support, resolving queries, facilitating effective communication, and ensuring compliance with FAIS and related regulatory requirements.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Visit, interact with and assist members at Departments and other public service offices as required.
  • Facilitate meetings and one-on-one sessions to resolve administrative and benefit-related queries.
  • Receive Scheme correspondence from members and submit to the Administrative Team daily.
  • Follow up with members on outstanding information or documentation required to finalise processes.
  • Log all resolved and unresolved queries daily for reporting purposes.
  • Escalate unresolved queries to the Administrative Team through the Team Leader.
  • Compile daily activity reports.
  • Compile weekly, monthly and quarterly activity reports for submission to the Team Leader.
  • Provide ad hoc information and reports as requested.
  • Maintain positive relationships with members and stakeholders.
  • Represent the Scheme in line with its mission, vision and values always.
  • Facilitate effective communication between members and the Scheme.
  • Assist the marketing service provider at marketing events by attending to member queries.
  • Market the Scheme to potential members and assist with member enrolment.
  • Conduct needs analyses and provides guidance and recommendations on suitable benefit options.
  • Provide ongoing option advice aligned to members’ individual needs and goals.
  • Ensure advice records are comprehensively completed, submitted to the member and Supervisor/Key Individual (KI), and properly stored.
  • Comply with FAIS regulations when rendering advice and intermediary services.
  • Utilise required computer systems and platforms effectively to manage and resolve queries.

Desired Experience & Qualification:

  • RE5 Mandatory
  • At least 2 years of industry experience. (Medical Scheme Industry advantageous)
  • Date of First Appointment (DOFA) 2 years with FSCA for 1.16 Health Services Benefits (Advantageous)
  • Registered with CMS as a fully accredited broker, (Advantageous)
  • No longer under supervision (Advantageous)
  • Class of Business Health Benefits (Advantageous)
  • If not already, must be willing and able to become a FAIS accredited representative
  • Fit and Proper requirements, honesty and integrity, and good standing according to Board Notice 194 of 2017 are adhered to including financial soundness, no criminal record and previous regulatory or employer disciplinary findings
  • Ability to speak one of the following additional languages in addition to English: South Sotho, and Afrikaans will be an added advantage
  • Driver’s license (required).
  • Own car.
