Client Liaison Officer

Job Purpose

An exciting opportunity exists for a Client Liaison Officer to join a reputable medical scheme environment. The successful candidate will support the Team Leader and ensure effective service delivery to members across the Alfred Nzo District.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Visit and assist members in government departments and public service offices
  • Facilitate meetings and one-on-one sessions to resolve administrative issues
  • Receive and submit member correspondence daily
  • Follow up on outstanding information and documentation
  • Attend marketing events and respond to member queries
  • Resolve queries at first contact where possible
  • Log all queries (resolved and unresolved) daily
  • Compile daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly activity reports
  • Escalate unresolved queries to the Admin Team via the Team Leader
  • Maintain positive stakeholder and member relationships
  • Facilitate effective communication between members and the Scheme
  • Provide ad hoc information when required
  • Maintain extensive scheme and operational knowledge
  • Use computer systems effectively to resolve queries
  • Market the Scheme and assist with member enrolments
  • Conduct needs analyses and provide appropriate benefit option advice
  • Maintain proper advice records and ensure compliance
  • Adhere to FAIS supervision requirements (if applicable)
  • Ensure compliance with Fit and Proper requirements (Board Notice 194 of 2017)

Desired Experience & Qualification:

  • Matric
  • NQF 5 FAIS-accredited qualification (as per FSCA published qualification list)
  • Minimum 2 years industry experience (Medical Scheme industry advantageous)
  • RE5 (advantageous)
  • DOFA: 2 years with FSCA (Category 1.16 Health Service Benefits) – advantageous
  • Registered with CMS as a fully accredited broker (advantageous)
  • Not under supervision (advantageous)
  • Class of Business: Health Benefits completed (advantageous)
  • If not already accredited, must be willing and able to become a FAIS-accredited representative
  • Must meet Fit and Proper requirements in line with Board Notice 194 of 2017 (financial soundness, no criminal record, no adverse regulatory findings)

Valid driver’s license (required)

Own reliable vehicle (required)
