Programme Coordination Support Resource

Purposes:

The Programme Coordination Support Resource will provide project coordination and administrative support to MRAC in the coordination, monitoring and tracking of committee deliverables developed by technical task teams. The successful candidate will support the implementation of backlog reduction initiatives, coordinate task teams and stakeholder engagements, maintain accurate progress tracking, facilitate communication between stakeholders and ensure that committee deliverables are effectively monitored through to completion.

Duties & Responsibility: 

  • Support the implementation of backlog reduction initiatives relating to committee deliverables.
  • Support the development, tracking and close-out of committee deliverables, including guidelines and regulations.
  • Coordinate meetings, technical task team sessions, workshops and stakeholder engagements.
  • Facilitate communication and follow-up between internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain programme/project progress tracking tools and provide regular status reports on committee deliverables.
  • Coordinate and maintain documentation, records, presentations and committee submissions.
  • Monitor progress against agreed timelines and deliverables.
  • Identify and escalate delays, risks, bottlenecks and issues that may affect the delivery of committee outputs.
  • Participate in committee and technical task team activities as required.
  • Provide general coordination support to ensure that assigned deliverables progress efficiently towards completion.

Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Honours Degree (NQF Level 8), or equivalent, in a mining-related discipline or another mine health and safety-related discipline.
    • Acceptable fields include, but are not limited to:
      • Mining Engineering
      • Geology
      • Rock Engineering
      • Health and Safety Management
      • Mine Environmental Control
      • Other relevant mining, occupational health or mine safety disciplines.
  • A completed degree certificate must be available as proof of qualification.

Experience:

  • At least four (4) years' on-mine experience, specifically experience gained while working on a mine.
  • The candidate's CV must clearly demonstrate the required on-mine experience and the nature of the work performed.
