AS400 Technical Specialist

Purpose

To build, maintain, monitor the AS400 system and the environment; implement the changes in Xiriuz/Exactus database and supervise subordinates in order to provide support to business partners.

Minimum requirements

• Matric.
• Relevant diploma or degree.
• AS400 IBM Certificate.
• 5 years working experience working on AS400 system and supervising a team of specialists.

Main duties

• Build and maintain the AS400 system (hardware and software).
• Deploy and maintain the following: Xiriuz and Exactus database, Mimix and Aldon applications.
• Improvement of AS400 System Efficiencies
• Supervision of subordinates.
• Business Partnering.
• Create and maintain productive relationships with internal and external clients by providing advice and assistance.
• Create understanding of the ‘real’ versus ‘perceived’ need through, experience and expertise while complying with company policies, legislation and regulations.
