Assistant Data Science Manager

Purpose:

• Supporting the Manager Data Science with managing a team of data scientists. Hands-on management of specified data science project.

Minimum Requirements:

• Degree in Data Science or AI or Computer Science or Econometrics or Engineering or Statistics or Actuarial Science or similar
• 3-5 years’ experience in data science or analytics or academic or financial role
• Experience a Senior Data Science is key including coaching and/or supervising of junior Data Scientist

The incumbent must be proficient in the following areas;

• Machine learning techniques
• Project Management
• Python and/or R or similar
• Relationship Management
• SQL
• Stakeholder engagement
• Statistics and mathematics

• Statistical Model building and Machine Learning model building and Machine Learning model building
• Analysis, reporting, data visualisation and communicating results
• Data wrangling and data preparation
• Model monitoring and refinement
