Overall Purpose of the Job

Responsible for ensuring  International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) compliance with regards to medical requirements, compliance of air ambulance operators, appropriate aviation medicine training of flight crew, oversight of airport clinics and first aid rooms and to participate in accident investigation.

Minimum Requirements

• MBCHB with Post Graduate Diploma/Higher Qualification Occupational Health, Public Health, Administrative Medicine, Medico-Legal /Aviation Medicine or other.
• Surveillance/ Audit qualifications; aviation related experience
• Medical Officer/ Medico-Legal/Aviation Medicine with at least 5 years suitable experience.
• Knowledge of Civil Avation Authority Policies and Procedures

Key Performance Areas

• Oversight of the medical certification processes and procedures.
• Public Health Risk Mitigation.
• Train, Development and oversight of operators and ATO.
