Purpose

The purpose of the position is to develop a comprehensive management reporting framework for the consumer banking segment and to ensure all revenues and costs are correctly recorded in the Flash and month end management accounts.

Minimum requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
• Post graduate degree, specialising in mathematics / quantitative subjects.
• 5 – 10 years’ experience.
• 5 of those years in a Finance environment.
• 3 years’ experience in a Business Intelligence / Financial Reporting & Analytics / Management Reporting function.

Main duties

• Assist in the Preparation of the 5 year financial plan based on the segment’s strategy for approval by the segment CE and CFO and ultimately the Group Exco and Board.
• Assist in the Performance of a re-forecast at least twice per year.
• Preparation and reporting of Flash and management accounts.
• Preparation and reporting consolidated financial metrixes.
• Preparation of segmental reports for CB by product.
• Facilitate the calculation of customer profitability.
• Understanding of impairments on the segment’s performance.
• Maintain Activity Based costing models for all of the products, channels utilised by the company. 
• Understand the Group cost allocation methodology and how it has impacted the segment’s profits.
