Installation Electrician

Purpose
The installation electrician will be responsible for the installation, inspection, testing, commissioning and diagnosis of faults in electrical plant and its associated cabling and equipment.
Minimum requirements
- A Qualified electrician, with a Phase 3 Wireman’s License
- 5-10 years experience in the following:
- Electrical installation and maintenance in the Industrial and commercial environment
- Experience in panel wiring
- flameproof experience in the Gas and Oil Industry would be an advantage
- Able to install and manage projects within specified budgets
- Must be able to work independently with the minimum of supervision
- Must work within a team environment of different cultures
- Must have a driver's license preferably code 8
Duties
- Installs and repairs electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in buildings.
- Installs conduits and pipes to house electrical wires and cables.
- Ensures piping complies with electrical codes.
- Installs circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connects wiring to them.
- Testing, maintaining and troubleshooting electrical wiring systems and equipment.
- Connect power cables and equipment.
