IT Infrastructure Team Leader

Purpose:

• The Infrastructure Team Leader is responsible for IT Infrastructure operations and projects to enable the business systems to function securely, effectively, and efficiently. The position is also responsible to ensure regulatory compliance with regards to IT. 

Minimum Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in IT
• 8 – 10 years IT Infrastructure support experience in an enterprise organisation. 
• Experience for level 3 & 2 support, as a minimum covering backup, antivirus, active directory, Microsoft Operations Management tools, service delivery against an SLA and Cisco network infrastructure.
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience as a lead IT infrastructure Management Dept.
• COBIT 2019, Project Management qualification will be advantageous.
• CompTIA Operations Specialist (A+ and Network+ Certified). 
•  CompTIA Server + Certified. 
• HP, VMWare, VEEAM, CISCO qualification / experience.
• Experience for level 3 & 2 support, as a minimum covering backup, antivirus, active directory, Microsoft Operations Management tools, service delivery against an SLA and Cisco network infrastructure.
• Must have good knowledge of Disaster Recovery Management and of Change Management.
• Valid driver’s licence.

Key Performance Areas:

• Advisor to IT strategy in terms of the infrastructure roadmap and cyber security. 
• Regular review of IT policies and procedures in line with changes in risk and business requirements. 
• Reviewing and reporting performance against SLA and plan. 
• Monitoring and overseeing the IT infrastructure environment and performance. 
• Planning maintenance in line with Infrastructure Change Control procedure. 
• Reviewing and approving all Infrastructure changes. 
• Monitoring and overseeing IST security controls compliance. 
• Providing 3rd level infrastructure support for incidents. 
• Responding to IT Security Incidents in line with the procedure. 
• Technical expert for ER cases. • Planning of IS&T infrastructure projects per annum in line with the IS&T Strategy. 
• Monitoring performance of the IT Infrastructure projects as Project Manager. 
• Participating in the execution of IT Infrastructure projects as a technical resource. 
• Planning and executing annual external assessments and remediation of findings and implementation of recommendations.
• Participating in annual internal and external audits, provide management comment, and close out findings. 
• Coaching and development of infrastructure team. 
• Working performance management of infrastructure team. 
• Building strong relationships with other IS&T teams. 
• Supporting SHEQ behaviour throughout the team.
