Purpose

To ensure sustainable IT infrastructure for the Group of Companies

 

Main Outputs and Responsibilities

1. Manage IT Network, Security and Telephony contribution to Organisation’s objectives

•       Assist in developing and aligning IT Network, Security and Telephony strategies with business objectives

•       Add value to company by providing a stable network, telephony and security infrastructure Manage the budget effectively

•       Manage external SLA’s and ensure adequate vendors support

•       Assist to identify, calculate and manage risks affecting the organization

•       Monitor and manage disaster recovery and business continuity

2. Manage IT Network, Telephony and Security infrastructure (Operational Excellence)

•       Manage incidents and releases

•       Manage problems and changes

•       Design, implement and manage the configuration of the infrastructure

•       Manage usage and capacity planning

•       Manage LAN and WAN

•       Manage Infrastructure security (includes physical access rights to IT premises)

•       Develop and implement enabling solutions to improve productivity and efficiency

•       Administrate license agreements for all company software

•       Manage physical security infrastructure of Assupol

•       Manage Call Center Application

3. Manage User Orientation

•       Manage in-house effectiveness and competitive costs compared to outsourcing

•       Deliver excellent services to the Group of companies (TCF)

•       Continuously maintain and upgrade network and security systems to make business processes more efficient and effective (user-friendly) in order for staff to deliver an excellent service to clients (TCF)

•       Translate strategy into plans

4. Manage Future Orientation

•       Attract and retain suitably qualified employees

•       Continuously train, mentor and develop IT staff

•       Build climate of empowerment and responsibility

•       Measure and reward performance

•       Research emerging technologies

 

Requirements


Formal Education

• Degree or 3yr Diploma in IT

Technical/Legal Certification

• Cisco Certification

• Security Certification (CISSP would be an advantage)

 

Experience

• IT experience: 10 years

• 3 - 5 year’s management experience

• Insurance and/or banking experience: 3 years (Advantage)

• Cisco: 5 years

• Telephony Systems
