Mill Operator

Purpose

Make high-quality stainless-steel tubing by means of a Tube Mill.

Minimum requirements

• The individual must hold a technical qualification and or be a qualified Fitter or Fitter and Turner or, welder or mechanical.
• Min 5 year's experience in a manufacturing environment and the operating of similar equipment in the Tube Making Industry.
• Must have a Matric certificate.
• Experience within the automotive industry will be an advantage.
• Must be computer literate.

Main duties

• Control product quality by monitoring, measuring and recording measured data on a software program.
• Make rebuilds and tooling changes for various Diameters.
• Ensure optimal setup of NDT Testing equipment.
• Do planned as well as TPM Maintenance.
• Perform duties in a safe manner by complying and adhering to health and safety regulations as well as following SOP and SWI.
• Ensure that equipment and machinery is maintained repaired in accordance with maintenance and procedures.
• Making parts that conform to customer requirements by following procedures related to operations and quality.
