Purpose

To manage company wide-risks and track compliance status considering the changes in the regulatory landscape for retirement funds and benefit administrators introduced by the Financial Sector Conduct Regulatory Act (FSCA); and to embed and promote a compliance culture within the company business units to enhance corporate governance and to ensure that standard operating procedures in all business units are robust and meets SLA obligations with clients.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Compliance, Auditing or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years’ relevant experience
  • Proven track record of delivering enhancement to process efficiency
  • Knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements applicable to retirement funds and benefit administrators.

Main Duties

  • Identifying, analyzing and mitigating of company-wide risks applicable to the retirement funds and benefit administrators
  • Developing the regulatory universe and the risk-based compliance plans for our company business units for approval by the executive management
  • Provide compliance and regulatory training and/or guidance and general assistance to all business units.
  • Ensure all business units and employees remain informed of regulatory, legislative and best practice changes and their obligations under the FSRA.
  • Business Continuity Management including the review, update and tracking of Business Continuity Plan for the organization.
  • Managing and monitoring Ethical Compliance of our company including whistle-blowing mechanism and staff ethics training.
  • Developing and reviewing Risk and Compliance Manuals & compliance monitoring plans and tools to track both organization and respective departments’ compliance.
  • Managing and monitoring Ethical Compliance  including whistle-blowing mechanism and staff ethics training.
  • Monitoring the company’s adherence to SLA agreements by consolidating information from different departments that feed into the reporting on performance information to the company’s board and executive management.
  • Management of representatives for the company and the register with FSCA.
  • Manage all the coupons and send each FAIS representative a CPD plan and assist them to obtain the CPD points timeously.
  • To manage FAIS representative’s FAIS Coupons and manage the choice of courses and to assist the KI’s with this.
  • To assist with all the Supervision agreements.
  • Vet new FAIS representatives coming on board by checking qualifications/RE exams etc.
