Risk Management and Business Continuity

Purpose:

Our client is looking for a candidate that will fill in a risk management and business continuity role.  The candidate will focus on risk management, mitigating problems from the outside, and business continuity, outlining what the company should do in case they are faced with the worst possible outcome.

Minimum requirements

• Relevant Degree (Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or another business major).
• Membership of the Industry IRMSA or equivalent statutory or industry professional body.
• Must have relevant ISO or Business Continuity Institute Certification / accreditation.
• A minimum of 8 years' relevant experience.
• Computer Literacy.

Main Duties

The services would encompass but not limited to: 

• Developing or reviewing Risk Universe, Risk Registers, Risk Management Plans and other Risk Management instruments as may be prescribed or recommended by the applicable Public Sector Guides and the Institute of Risk Management.
• Implementing and monitoring the adherence to the instruments. 
• Developing Business Continuity Emergency Response, assessment, planning and Management. 
• Develop Business Crisis Planning and Management.
• Facilitate the development of Disaster Recovery (ICT) plans. 
• Facilitate business continuity operational relocation. 
• Implementing and monitoring adherence to the instruments.
• Conduct Risk and Business continuity training.
• Prepare periodic or ad-hoc reports for submission to relevant fora.

Location : JHB

Duration: 6 months contract.
