Purpose

To support the overall business strategy of the company through design on (technical, compliance, leadership) learning across business units. Designing and supporting overall business strategy through design of end-to end learning programmes to ensure delivery across all Business Units, assisting in putting together the organisational development plan, signed-off by the Business Units Heads/Executives, ensure successful curriculum design and measures of the plan. Manager the day to day operational requirements of a team and projects.

Minimum requirements

• HR/L&D-related Degree.
• 3 to 5 years management related experience.
• Use on-line learning design packages.

Main duties

• Curriculum Design function/processes management.
• Course design.
• Presentation and coaching on new course material.
• Treating Customers Fairly and Compliance.
• Management of Resources.

Key competencies

• Design principles.
• Financial management systems.
• Forms of practice that promote the values described in the Bill of Rights and the principles underpinning the Employment Equity Act.
• Labour market policies.
• Occupational and industrial classification system.
• Quality assurance functions of the BANKSETA.
• Quality assurance principles and procedures.
• Relevant legislation (e.g. SDA, SDLA, Employment Equity Act, Labour Relations Act and SAQA Act).
• Specific crucial areas of the organisation’s business plan in terms of priorities.
• The sector and industry in which the business is operating.
• The Skills Development Strategies (e.g. learnerships, skills programmes, ETQA, skills levies and BANKSETA functions).
• Understanding of current business performance (how productivity is measured).
