Purpose

Technical Training is required to facilitate the knowledge and skills transfer of technical expertise to the technical population within the client’s repair network, in order to develop technical competence.

Minimum Requirements

  • Relevant qualification.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as a training officer in the automotive industry.
  • Fluent in French and English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Skills Development Facilitator (SDF) certificate is advantageous.
  • Willing to travel, often outside normal working hours.

Main Duties

  • Delivering required courses, in order to improve the overall diagnostic skill of the dealership personnel.
  • Supporting new model launches if required.
  • Working with the Training Manager and the client central market support team to deliver training as per the client’s targets.
  • Utilising information from the client’s technical support functions.
  • Complying with course delivery requirements/standards.
  • Preparing in advance for the seamless and professional delivery of training courses.
  • Preparing final theory and practical tests.
  • Reporting on post-course results.
  • Maintaining own technical knowledge and ability, through on-going self-study, and technical training.
  • Ensuring understanding and compliance of available resource libraries.
  • Theoretical training into the correct use of workshop equipment, diagnostic equipment and special tools in order that repairs are effective and permanent.

Competencies and Skills

  • Thorough understanding of adult learning principles.
  • Thorough understanding of training and development.
  • Knowledge about the Automotive industry.
  • Awareness of Automotive retail processes and factors influencing competence development.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and organisational skills.
  • Able to implement a coherent blended learning approach to training solutions.

Duration

6 Months Fixed Term Contract
